With the purpose of increasing the yields of the cocoa, by means of the management of areas selected to rehabilitate, the experiment was developed in the Estación Experimental Agroforestal of Baracoa, three variants were studied to determine the best or the best methods of rehabilitation of established plantations: the total cut of the plant to 30 cm of the soil to select the offspring’s that will form the new plant (total back cutting) (T1); a son’s Induction by means of the sap suppression in the basal part of the trunk (T2); Renovation of the air part of the plant (T3). The results were processed by means of an analysis of variance of double classification and compared according to Duncan docima. The materials used were: Polyester 100 %, Polyester 65 % + Cotton 35 %, Nylon, Cotton 100 %, Jute, Maguey and Coconut. The height of visible humidity was evaluated in substratum and the ascended volume of water, both for wick type. The results, processed by Simple ANOVA with test from Duncan to 5%, showed significant statistical difference, when standing out in the capillary ascension the wicks of synthetic origin regarding those of vegetable origin.}, }

A randomized block design with 10 treatments resulting from the combination of two factors (5 levels mycorrhiza ) . And Fitomas -E (two levels) was used. Were used the strains Glomus cubense Rhizophagus intraradices, Claroideoglomus claroideum and Funneliformis mosseae , in doses of 10 g • bag–1 localized form before planting time . The Fitomas -E was applied monthly foliar at doses of 2 % pair from the second through the fifth pair of leaves. Seedlings height, stem diameter, leaf area ratio and mycorrhizal efficiency was evaluated. Data were processed by analysis of variance threefold classification. The positive effect of inoculation with strains of AMF on seedling!s growth in the Brown soil depended on the strain used and their behavior in decreasing order was: Glomus intraradices = Rhizophagus cubense > Claroideoglomus claroideum > Funneliformis mosseae. Mycorrhization efficiency ranged from 34 to 136 % depending on the strain used . The objective of the investigation carried out during the years 2012 and 2013 in the Estación Experimental Agroforestal Tercer Frente, Santiago de Cuba was to evaluate the use of the pleurotina like organic manure for the production of postures of interespecifics grafts of coffee. Proportions of Brown soil/Pleurotina 3:1, 5:1 and 7:1 and a witness (3:1 soil: bovine manure) (v/v) were used. When more than 80% of the grafts were suitable, the height, the diameter of the stalk, the air and radical dry mass was evaluated, the area to foliate and the index of quality of the postures. The statistical analysis was carried out according to the STATISTICA program and the Duncan test was used for the comparison of the stockings. The grafts grown in the mixture soil: Pleurotina (5:1) they showed significantly superior values to the rest of the substratum in all the evaluated indicators. The above-mentioned facilitates to recommend the use of the Pleurotina like source of organic manure for the production of postures of coffee obtained by the way of grafts.}, }

The biggest percentajes of affectation were obtained in the Son’s Induction (25.5 %) and the minors in Foliage Renovation (22.6 %). It was determined the predominance, diversity and frequency in that were found each one of these productions. One investigated about the demands and restlessness of the producers, as well as for the cultivations of their preference. The production of foods was insufficient with low use of the potentialities of the soil, alone in 64.3% of the orchards and diagnosed family orchards were a productive line at least; with prevalence of the cultivation of fruit-bearing. The cultivations of vegetables and of grains were not in none of the orchards and or visited family orchards. The community ones were shown interested to improve and to increase the cultivations in their orchards and to receive some type of technical training in the agriculture.}, }

An agroecological diagnosis of six Systems of Management in the environment of the selected property was carried out (property La Colonia), and of this, the determination of the critical points, the selection of the strategic indicators, the mensuration and checking of the selected indicators, the presentation and integration of the results, the conclusions and the recommendations. It was demonstrated that the use of this evaluation system in the properties, contributes to correct deviations in the agricultural practices and in the establishment of measures of organizational character that allowing to reach and to consolidate the development and to improve the conditions of the rural families, as well as the results of the cultivations and other used productions. Satisfactory results were obtained in the evaluated years (2006-2010), as for the degree of productivity and the efficiency, being demonstrated the sustentability of the System of Management.}, }
